Check DNS

The Domino server sounds like it's doing reverse DNS lookups to check the hostname against IP address. Is the IP address of the scanner in DNS with a valid ptr record?

Could also be that the old server had the scanner IP address (and hostname) in the hosts file of the server instead of DNS to get round this.
